Get Involved

We’re excited that you want to get more involved with CCLM!

Getting more involved can mean volunteering skills and time, learning more about the issues and advocating for social justice, donating material goods, donating in a financial way, or a combination that lets you have a comfortable and joyous mix of giving and a sense of accomplishment.

You can work on a project or event, host a drive at your site, bring supplies to the CCLM campus, assemble some kind of kit, adopt a house or project, or work with one of the staff with some of our CCLM community.

Please contact Claire Sekafetz at and describe your volunteer interests so we can match you to the needs and opportunities here in the CCLM community.

Other ideas:

  • Adopt a House:  Congregations, Clubs, businesses, and other organizations can adopt one of our housing units. This entails taking care of the maintenance needs that come up in any residence: painting, carpet, periodic repairs.
  • Honor a special occasion or event with a service project, donation, or collection:
    • e.g. National Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week (NHHAW) in November, National Volunteer Week in April.
    • For faith based organizations, festival days, Thanksgiving, Lent; for all – birthdays, etc.
  • Whether it is your event or not, you can help us publicize events and messages through your email lists and media outlets, so we can educate people about solutions to poverty and homelessness in cost-effective ways.
